Auckland United Softball is prod to celebrate and honour two truly outstanding individuals – Blair and Julie – as our newest Life Members.
Their journey with the club began over 20 years ago, in 2002, when they first signed up their two children to play. What started as a simple step into a local sports community quickly became a lifelong commitment to Auckland United. Two decades on, their presence, passion, and dedication have become pillars of our club.
Blair and Julie are the kind of people every club dreams of having – great parents, great people, and an even greater inspiration to those around them. They have always led from the front, quietly and humbly doing whatever needs to be done: putting up fences, marking diamonds, umpiring games, and supporting teams. If there’s work to be done, they’re already there – sleeves rolled up, never asking for recognition.
Blair continues to give back as the player-coach of our Division Men’s team, showing leadership and commitment both on and off the field. Julie, the proud “super mum” and devoted wife, is often seen supporting with unwavering enthusiasm, always putting her family and the club first. Her passion for people and community spirit shines in everything she does.
Together, they’ve helped build the strong, family-oriented culture Auckland United is known for. Their ongoing support has shaped the experience of countless players, parents, and volunteers over the years. Quite simply, they are the heartbeat of our club.
It’s not often you come across a duo as hardworking, humble, and genuine as Blair and Julie. Auckland United Softball is stronger because of them – and we are forever grateful.
Congratulations, Blair and Julie – your Life Membership is so richly deserved!
