Congratulations to our new Life Member Sean Coutts
Auckland United Softball Club is pleased to congratulate our latest Life Member- Sean Coutts.
Sean has been a playing member of this club since 1983. He played through the grades into the senior club.
Due to career aspirations he was unable to commit to training and therefore he let go of becoming a regular premier player at United. He instead continued to play with United as a member of the M1’s. He also represented the NZ Police and the NZ Combined Services team at Nationals.
As a member of the M1’s he worked tirelessly during the Vic Guth tournaments from being grounds man, barman, security, umpire to cook and any other job that may have needed doing over those years.
When his son was old enough Sean turned his hand at coaching and coached from Under 6 T-ball through to Under 15. During this time he also joined the administrators of our club jumping on the committee. The highlights being Chairman and President.
He came out of playing retirement 3 years ago to help the current Social Men’s team and this highlights that he will give what he can for the game and club he loves.
Throughout the years Sean has been a great supporter of the whanau we call Auckland United.
Congrats to Sean!
❤️💙🥎
