A huge thank you to everyone who made the effort to attend our AGM on an early Sunday morning – your presence and commitment to the club means a lot. It’s always great to see members getting involved and showing their support for the future of Auckland United.
Congratulations to our newly elected committee members: Michelle Enoka, Gwen Fletcher, Karyn McCarty, Maude Smith, Isaac Fletcher, and Michal Fletcher. We’re also pleased to announce that Ron McMillan has been voted back in as Chairman for another year – thank you for continuing to lead the charge, Ron!
At the AGM, Ron took us through a season review. While it’s no secret that finances were tight, we pulled together and got through it. Despite the challenges, there were some incredible highlights that made this season one to remember.
A massive shout-out to Ben Enoka and Thomas for their phenomenal achievement at the World Series – taking the team from an 8th-place finish to 2nd on the podium is no small feat. To top it off, both reached the milestone of 100 international games during the tour, with their families there to witness it. Special congratulations to Ben Enoka, who also celebrated 300 games for New Zealand last season – making him one of only three Auckland United members to hit that incredible milestone. Well done, Ben!
Another huge congratulations to Stephani Fairclough, who made her international debut at the Canada Cup with the NZ White Sox – a goal she’s worked hard for and truly deserved. The tour was a great success, and we are so proud of her and all she’s achieved.
We also want to acknowledge all our players who earned selections for New Zealand and Auckland representative teams – your dedication and performance continue to inspire.
And finally, a massive thank you to our incredible volunteers – the coaches, managers, helpers, and players. Without your time, energy, and passion, there simply wouldn’t be a season. Your efforts behind the scenes and on the field are what keep this club running and growing, and we are truly grateful for everything you do.
Well done to everyone on a successful season. We look forward to seeing you all around the park again soon!
